SpaceX is known to be one of the best space industries and nowadays, it is hitting the nail on the head and seems to burgeon than the other space industries by their outstanding performance to reach the goal of space.
Here are some of the events discussed from where we can assume that how SpaceX changing the modern spaceflight industry:
Background
As the policies and budget of NASA are being changed with different presidencies and exploration of the United States are set by the US government and they have been changing it drastically with a new president. In the era of President Bill Clinton, the budget for space was decreased however a lot of progress was made during his presidency and the construction of international space began under his leadership in cooperation with the US and Russia. This cooperation strengthened Clinton's space exploration.
Under the presidency of Bush, this exploration gave a signal to go back to the moon by 2020. And the constellation program began and they started to construct two rockets for the mission to go back to the moon. But after sometime experts came to know that it will take a longer period to complete the constellation program to send back the humans to the moon which was expected for four years. The project was lacking innovations and fundings.
President Obama's mission of exploration to Mars
Due to these reasons, President Barack Obama converted the focus of NASA toward Mars. But NASA has no way to get it’s astronauts to space on their own.
The time when SpaceX came into play!
As NASA had no way to get its astronauts toward the mission of Mars, five private companies were asked for proposals on space crafts, and two companies were commissioned named Boeing and SpaceX to reach the space affordably without relying on Russian crafts. Also, NASA was not able to complete the space mission due to a low budget in the time of President Trump. This was the time when L Mosque came into the play and he stated the goal to reach Mars and affordably make rockets and have the revenue to support the project. Their Falcon 9 rocket started at the cost of 62 million dollars.
SpaceX became the first private company to launch a payload into an orbit and return it to earth. Before SpaceX, only government agencies like NASA and Russian Roscomos were doing tasks for the mission of space. After SpaceX's spectacular performance it became the first big headline in 2010.
So, SpaceX not only met all the criteria to overcome the mission of space but it has shown that SpaceX can compete in the modern Spaceflight industry too.
